Your Sacred Birthright
As nature intended

Do you ever just go out and look at the sky? It helps me remember my problems are so insignificant, In the scope of the world’s magnificence, Its ancient existence, And vast space, Unfolding at its natural pace. I begin to question my haste. I am part of this world, Yet somehow hold myself separate, Like I’m running desperate, A race I can’t win, Because it isn’t real, it’s an illusion. What is real is this breath…. Then the next, Painted in the context, Of life. I am alive. Something I forget from time to time, When I get caught up in the spirals of my mind. Society has done such a good job of dangling a prize to chase, It keeps us stuck in the maze, Only great love or great suffering can break the spell, Giving us pause and cause to lift the veil, Stir the soul to awaken, And tap into your sacred, Birthright. Only when we slow down do we see glimmers of our true nature, Able to cultivate the nomenclature, Of our own souls and who we are to be. The science of “me.” Why is that so scary? We’re afraid we can’t stand the heat, If we march to a different beat. Afraid we won’t succeed. Afraid we can’t have what our souls so desperately need. Afraid we’re not good enough, unworthy, Of the joy of being free. Who are you not to live as nature intended? Your soul whole and your life open-ended. That is yours by right since the day you arrived, All creatures possess potential to blossom and thrive, It is a law of nature and our calling to abide. You get to choose how to live your finite earthly life. The question is: what will you decide?

I love this, Cara! Your heart shines through helping others to come to the reality of their own self.
Incredible, Cara! Depth and beauty that just rolls off your tongue. This hit me at the right time this week. Thank you for giving us your words.
